Real Estate IRA Investing by Dan Fisher of Entrust Freedom, LLC

At Entrust Freedom one of our most popular investment choices is Real Estate, and why shouldn’t it be? Real estate prices have dropped by more than 50% in some parts of the country. We are seeing more and more clients take full advantage of this great opportunity to purchase properties and land that they would not have been able to afford otherwise. With the credit markets being as tight as they are, using a Real Estate IRA to purchase land and property is an excellent alternative way to fund their investment.
In the last several months I have seen several clients open new IRA accounts to specifically purchase a piece of real estate. The clients have had some light work done on the properties financed through their IRA, turn around and sell the property for a profit. I have truly been astounded by some of the profit margins our clients are receiving from their real estate investments. All profits are returned to the IRA tax free!
I have also seen many clients purchase pieces of land or property with the intentions of holding the asset as a long term investment. Whether it be for the purposes of holding vacant land or holding rental property all gains or income received are tax free. With rental property, all checks are deposited back into the IRA. When the property is sold, all proceeds go back into the IRA tax free.
This is in no way a recommendation or a sales pitch. All of our clients are required to do their own research and follow all IRS guidelines. Not all investments are going to work out like the ones previously mentioned. That is why it is crucial to do your homework and make sure that this type of investment is for you. In doing your research you may discover that a Real Estate IRA is not the best decision for you, but fear not, with the hundreds of different types of investment options that you can take advantage, you’re sure to find the right investment for you. In many cases our clients are following one of the golden rules of investing, “invest in what you know.” The clients I am speaking of knew real estate very well and were able to capitalize on their investment decisions. Don’t miss out on any opportunities to make money with tax free gains, call Entrust today!
